Found poems - finding new meaning in words
Palimpsest poems
Emmet C.
security at
school is
exciting the
teacher should
open a
window and
let the
light in
Ismael C.
Letter
Giant guardian
Impatient hall
Someone gossips
Through doors
Laughter ends
Finally 1st period
A gate
Begins
Matthew S.
No houses for a block
Just sports fields and parking lots
I feel just like freedom.
Patrick
The best
day was
when I
got to
sleep till
two in
the afternoon
in my bed.
Zaya G.
dark, gray, foggy
the people the children
Exhausted!
Go!
burst out, scattered
people shouting
more scatters
Brendan L.
Waiting outside
room for
five or
ten minutes
I am
tired and
seems others
are asleep
